| In Your Eyes |
| Email an embed link to me of some interesting video you found on-line, it would be preferrerable if this was from YouTube or Vimeo. By interesting this will be something besides simple stupid human tricks or LOL cats, though really any theme or meme can have exceptions. What I would like to see is something that is aethetic, enlightenting, and interesting, something perhaps that you don't quite understand or wish you did, yet something engaging. |
| Midterm |
This is a 2 minute video of... (you can use photos or video or combination)...it could be your environment,
yourself, your clothes, or something about you or a documentary on something...shape something into a story.
This will be the draft for your final. So it can be rough.
2 minutesmax!
(if you want an idea for an assignment you can choose to do a 2-3 minute documentary on an OSU Art faculty member or a Art grad student).
Export the video as an MPEG-4 (H264) and
post on your YouTube/Vimeo/Blip site, email link to instructor

| Art
Statement
|
Especially in
the arts, we must be able to talk about what we do. It is
in the process of talking (or writing) that will give meaning
to ourselves and others.
Submit to: dvplace@gmail(.com) a brief statement of what you hope your work will achieve
as art...why are you an artist.
Put "Art Statement"
and your name in the subject line and embed the statement in your email. No attachments please.
These statements will be posted on the art statement blog.
