| A successful
editor is talented and fast. Navigating around your sequences
is important to be able to quickly and FCP has a number of ways
to help you move in and out of the sequence. |

The
Zoom Tool is one way to zoom in
(keyboard short cut is "z") Holding
the option key with the zoom in tool selected
will zoom out. |

Another
easier way is the keyboard combo of the command
+ "+" keys to zoom in
or the command + "-"
keys to zoom out. You can zoom in or out centered
on the playhead if you DO NOT have selected clips. |

When
you see this grey bar, you are looking at each frame...you are
zoomed in pretty close, which can be a big help. |

Using
the keyboard key combo of the shift + z
key you can "fit to window" which is helpful when
you want to quickly get to a point of seeing the whole timeline. |
